Kyoto, Japan, November, 24, 2016. Leader and one of member Enviromental Fisheries Molecular Research Group (ENFISHMO RG), Dr. Ir. Mohamad Fadjar, M.Sc. and Dr. Yunita Maimuna, S.Pi., M.Sc., become oral speaker at International Converence on Life Science and Biological Engineering (LSBE) in Japan. LSBE is af forum where International level Researchers over the world come together to present their research results. This event is a big opportunity for member of ENFISHMO RG to expand networking

on this occasion, Dr. Ir. Mohamad Fadjar, M.Sc. presents his research which is entitled ” Squid (Loligo sp.) Ink Extract as an Autoinducer Quorumsensing Inhibitor of Vibrio harveyii on white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) Post Larvae Culture”. the research is focused on the utility of active compound such as rough extract of squid ink as iquorumsensing inhibitor of Vibrio harveyii bacterium.

Meanwhile Dr. Yunita Maimunah, S.Pi., M.Sc., another member of ENFISHMO RG, presents her research which is entitled “Changes of Ribonucleotida reductase expresiion in L. Vannamei infected with WSSV exposed to different salinity”. the research explains about white shrimp which is infected by WSSV (White Spot Syndrome Virus) have high mortality on low salinity (5ppt). The existence of virus make the shrimp become weak and vulnerable to WSSV
